Vision for Discipleship in the Tactic Area

Jesus called us to go and make disciples of all nations, to baptize them and to teach them to observe the commands of Jesus. When one considers the darkness and spiritual oppression visible in the faces of people in the nation of Guatemala, it is clear that it is here that some of Christ's disciples are called to go. Tactic is situated in the central mountains of Guatemala and is a place of great need. Poverty, alcoholism, broken homes, illiteracy and spiritual bondage have kept the people in darkness. Impact Ministries has begun working in the area by opening Christian Schools and finding sponsors for the students. Currently, students involved in Impact Ministries Schools are learning to worship the Lord, to read and study the Bible, and to pray to the Lord for help. Discipleship is happening in a very tangible way in Tactic. Impact Ministries has decided to work among the children of Tactic and the surrounding mountain villages, providing them with discipleship, Christian education, and badly needed nutritious meals, medical and dental care. The need is great!

 The vision of Impact Ministries is to build a Christian school system where children can attend and grow in the Lord. The Vida (Life) Christian School System will eventually consist of seven elementary schools, a central high school, medical clinic, and a Bible training centre. Currently six Vida schools and an afternoon children's program are operating. Several more programs and schools are being planned for the coming years. We invite you to be a part of the vision by sponsoring a child to attend a Vida School or a children's program.
