Sustainability Initiatives for Impact Ministries

Sustainability has become a priority for the National Staff.  Through generous donations, Impact Ministries has been able to develop capacity to grow vegetables for the Nutrition Program in the schools and generate solar energy on the Chisac property.

Edgar and the Ministerios Impacto crew start the seedlings in the greenhouse, plant them out into the fields, and then harvest them for use in the schools and for sale to support the ministry.

The Agricultural Project, facilitated by the Seeds of Tomorrow Project, the water pumping and purification system, and the solar energy project have been significant contributors to reaching our sustainability targets.

The While the funds generated by this harvest can not replace the financial support we receive from the many generous donors in North America, they will support the ongoing work in the schools and medical clinic.

“The King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.” Matthew 25:40

We strive to please the Lord with our service to His children in Guatemala and invite you to partner with us in the continued growth of our sustainability initiatives.

Gifts are tax deductible.  Spending of funds is confined to programs and projects approved by Impact Ministries. Should a donor designate a contribution, we will honour that designation, with the understanding that when the need for such a program or project has been met or cannot be completed for any reason as determined by Impact Ministries, the remaining designated gifts will be used where most needed.
